My collage with things that I love

  1. Taking pictures of the things you love was a great inspiration for this collage project. With so many photos that's a lot of love, and it's a window into who you are. I find myself wishing that there was less light exposure on the pictures of your cat and dog because they feel a little washed out in this set to me. On the other hand, I can't tell if one picture is of blue jello or perhaps rock candy, but I love the way the light plays on the surface. There is a great depth of color and light balance here that adds a richness to this picture. You also captured a great picture of a butterfly in wheat. I think my favorite picture, though, is the "Love My Grandkids" shot in the upper left. It may be the most literal picture, but the crispness of the cut out letters captured in this picture pulls my eye. I would also love to see this same set of pictures in some of the other collage presentation styles.

  2. The floral pattern(second from the right bottom row)shows a fantastic use of negative space. I am also liking the wine and champagne flutes, but wishing there were more angles involved. The butterfly on the top row has a great diagonal and is my favorite from this set. Great work.

  3. I enjoyed this. It gives me a sense of who you are. It's light, and bright, and it seems to me your heart dwells best in summer. =)

I will say, your cat seems very serious about something. Either he is up to mischief or he is quite upset with the dog.

    1. I do love the summer and the many flowers that cheer me up when in bloom. The cat just wasn't sure what I was up to and her sister was trying to get into the act. thanks for you input

  4. Well as the mother of two of your grandkids, my eldest son being your first (LOL I can always beat out my sibs on that one) I am happy to share in the love. I love the photo of the "love my grandkids". I love the angle in the butterfly on wheat photo. I know how much fun we both had taking these photos and it shows in your collage. A nice piece.

  6. To me, it was perfect that you put the brightest colored photo in the middle like a bulls-eye. Beautiful pink flower. I also liked the unique angle of the hanging glasses - it is a reminder that we need to consider how to take photos from an angle like we learned last week - I tend to center without realizing it!

The is something very soothing about the photo on the bottome, second in from the right - not sure if it is the colors or the design being on only a portion of the photo - regarless, I really like that photo.

I agree with Jen that the animal photos have a bit too much light but I know this is a challenge I have faced often. Hard to get the light right with animals - sometimes you just have to take the shot or lose it. I appreciate the animals being in there, it adds a personal aspect to the collage.

  7. The pink flower, is my favorite, (and not just because that shade of pink is my favorite color). I love macro pictures of flowers. This collage is a quick explanation of you, which was very creative. Nicely done!

  8. Your dog is extremely CUTE!! I also really enjoy the pink flower and the colors that are in this collage. You did an amazing job. Mine is dull and colorless I think!
